Can anyone advise of 3D photography? Looking to move into this field but know little about it. What is the best camera, do I have to get a lens splitter or are there cameras on the market specifically designed for 3d; where to go to get these types of film developed, best way to view the pics; does the camera have to be kept exactly level when taking pics, like the old viewmaster cameras; digital V 35mm, infact any advice regarding this field would be extremely helpful.

Thanks

No special camera or lens needed. I have done a few in the recent past, and its very fun to learn. the only complication is that that have to be converted to greyscale, then back to RGB Color for it to work correctly.

You find a very good write up on this topic by following this link http://www.adorama.com/catalog.tpl?op=academy&article=060506
the only portion that was confusing to me in the begining was the channles. If you get stuck PM me, and I'll walk you through it.

Now the above directions are for digi cameras, and yes it needs to be shot with a tripod and some type of slide is recommended. They offer one, that seems it would work very well, but I made one ot of some angle stock. I also made another for shooting faster paced subjects with two cameras, firing both at the same time. Although stills work out better.

Happy Shooting.

BTW dig out your Red/Blue 3D glasses and enjoy ;)
