Model Release/shooting in PublicMy favourite is taking pictures of the every day all around me. Obviously members of the public find themselves in my frame. If I'm looking to sell this photos through a stock agency etc am I meant to have a signed release form?
Surely its ok to exhibit/sell work of pictures of everyday people?
When do you need a model release form then?
Many thanks
Rebecca

Rebecca - it depends - for editorial usage (eg used in a travel story by a journalist) usually not for commercial usage probably yes as the advertisers is using their image to sell something - same often goes for property releases

it is usually best to ask a stock agent what their guidelines are

here is a useful discussion for these things - a starting point http://www.krages.com/phoright.htm
