Does anyone know how to and what is involved in tea staining? Is it as obvious as it sounds? This is obviously working with film and paper dark room stylee and not digital!

that site seems to explain it pretty well.

looks pretty simple. like sepia toning < yeah, just soak the photo in a batch of tea until the desired tint is reached >
