I have been looking for a good but affordable portable power source for my studio lights so that
I can bring my studio lights outdoors when I chance upon the PDN Bulletin Board( http://www.pdngallery.com ). They were discussing alternatives that will allow you to bring your studio lights on location. They were citing many alternatives from High end generators, inverters , dynalites, vagabonds and Tronix Explorer 1200WS ( http://www.innovatronix.com ) . Among the alternatives, I like the Tronix the most because it is very affordable (US$249) and lightweight. It is also very versatile, but before I buy the unit, I'd like to ask if there are any users of the Tronix Explorer in this forum? There was a satisfied user response in the PDN forum that has been very encouraging but I do need a second opinion. I would appreciate if you can give me feedback. Thank you

| I think I got an email from the company that sells the gear. I'm also wondering who had tried it out?

| I was wondering if Tronix Explorer could work for a profoto 500..... Has anyone tried it? Quite affordable for a portable power supply.

I ordered and received a tronix 1200 this week. Communication with the company was outstanding, everything shipped and handled in a very professional manner. Packaging was excellent, plan on ordering another one this week.
