Sony have released a 10 mega pixel all in one digital camera - with a 35 mm equivalent lens of 24-120 - and according to a hand on test very good image quality the Sony DSC-R1 will make some users think twice about purchasing a digital SLR - according to the Imaging Resource test http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/R1/R1A.HTM the handling speed isn't up to digital slr standard but still comes out as a high end digital prosumer camera.
No image tests as yet but they can't be far away - no doubt the other manufacturers won't be dwadling to match it.
