I currently have a Canon EOS Elan. I am planning to get a digital camera. Thinking about the Canon Rebel. Will the lenses from the Elan mount to the rebel??

WOW...............   135 hits in less than 20 hours ................... and not one response!  :(

OK, maybe no one understands my question so I have reworded it........... " Can anyone tell me if the AF lens that fit my Elan will mount to a digital Rebel??   If so, will the AF work also??"

maybe nobody knows elans were a while ago now :P - i would guess yes they would fit on but you would probably lose metering and autofocus ability by comparison with the newer lenses

- as they upgrade cameras the newer sensors need information from the lenses which wouldn't be available from older one although the mounts maybe the same

- check the specs on the canon website and see if the body is backwards compatible with older mounts
