I just purchased an Olympus Evolt and have been nothng but impressed. I was wondering if there were any other Evolt owners out there?

Hi there
I have just purchased an Evolt camera by Olympus...I'm hoping you can help or offer some advice to a newbie.
I keep getting blurred photos, no matter what I set the camera to.
To play safe, I originally set the cameras settings to Auto, but even then I am unable to get a satisfactory photo....each one comes out blurred.
I have tried pressing the photo button halfway down so that it auto focuses (is the view through the viewfinder supposed to change?)...nothing happens??
I was expecting the view in the view finder to become clear??
Please can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Many Thanks in Advance

have you tried manually foucssing ? if this works then the lens itself is ok - i am not familiar witht he evolt but many cameras have different areas of focus in autofocus - see if you can set it to a point foucs as opposed to a wide area focus - then focus on a single object close far middle distance etc - set the focus to wide area do the same with largish objects - be systematic - if none comes into focus in the view finder doing any of these (try more than once) - take it back to your dealer it may have a fault with it
remember auto focus is usually achieved by pressing the shutter button halfway down - as you described
good luck
